SISTER GOALS
WHITSUNDAY GIRLS SHINE AT JUNIOR STATE CUP NORTH

What a weekend in Townsville! Whitsunday Touch is incredibly proud of four of our junior girls who took to the field at Junior State Cup North – we had two sets of sisters in action!

Claudia and Stella represented Burdekin Touch Football, with Stella making her debut appearance at State Cup. Meanwhile, Lanie and Isla laced up for Mackay Thunder, also marking Isla’s first State Cup. All four girls did themselves – and our club – proud.

Claudia and Stella shared how much they loved working together and meeting new friends, saying:

“It was great being on the same team and helping other teams come together. These carnivals give us so much experience and are heaps of fun!”

Isla had a blast soaking up the carnival vibes:

“I loved the food vans, learning new skills, and making new friends!”

Lanie added:

“It was great to be coached by Brando and be part of the Mackay team. I made friends from other clubs and had so much fun – the touch footy vibes were pumping!”

From all of us at Whitsunday Touch, a massive thank you to Burdekin Touch Football and Mackay Touch Football for not only giving our girls the opportunity to play but for welcoming them so warmly into your touch footy families. This is what regional sport is all about – connection, growth, and fun!
