What a cracker of a season! Last night wrapped up Season 1 with some brilliant grand final footy — and plenty of smiles to go with it.
A special shoutout to our Rookies – what a journey! From learning the ropes just months ago to playing in their first grand final. That’s what Footy for Fun is all about.
In C Grade, we saw another epic match-up between ShednHomes Steppaz and the Bulls. The Bulls played with no subs and held their own, going down 3–1. Steppaz, a team that started in our family grade, has grown into a strong unit with kids side-stepping everywhere and the girls making big plays. Love to see it.
B Grade was another crowd-pleaser, with Ray White taking out the win over Whitcool — who, just last week, sent their semi into drop-offs on the buzzer! Great game from both teams and a ripper to watch.
In A Grade, the Sunz, who were dominant all season, found themselves knocked into a drop-off last week but fought their way back to face In The Crear in the GF. The Sunz brought the heat and stepped back up to take the title. What a comeback.
Massive thanks to all our referees and scorers — we simply can’t do this without you. We’re proud to have such a great bunch of people helping week in and week out.
💥 That’s a wrap for Season 1… but the fun’s not over!
Season 2 kicks off in July. Want to play touch? Come give it a go!
New teams, returning players, Rookies, legends — all welcome.
Stay tuned on socials for sign-up info.
Let’s keep the good vibes rolling — Footy for Fun!
