At Whitsunday Touch, our motto is simple: Footy for Fun. And it wouldn’t be possible without the crew in pink — our referees.

Grand Finals bring the heat — and our refs handled it like pros. Big cheers to our junior referees who stepped up for the finals! It’s not easy reffing the big games, but you did it with confidence and calm. We’re super proud.

These juniors aren’t just out there reffing — they’re always pitching in. Whether it’s helping set up fields, packing up gear, or picking up rubbish without being asked, you’re absolute legends. You do the little things that most people don’t notice — but they make all the difference.

To our senior refs, thank you for showing up week after week, guiding the juniors, and keeping things running smoothly. You lead by example and help keep the vibe fun and fair — just how we like it.

It’s worth remembering: a referee will never win or lose a game for you — but how you treat them will influence the energy of the whole field. Let’s be a club that leads with respect.

We’re always on the lookout for more referees, especially juniors keen to give it a go. You’ll be supported, guided, and earn $10/game to start. It’s a great way to be part of the action, build confidence, and join our pink-shirted crew.
